Lazo Ostojić is a professional with significant experience spanning over 20 years in the capital markets, specializing in corporate finance, brokerage operations, privatization projects, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic business planning, financial analysis and various project developments.

He began his career as a broker, gaining a deep understanding of the industry at the operational level. Over the years, he advanced to senior leadership positions, acting as General Manager of the ITM Monet brokerage house, where he was responsible for business expansion, portfolio development, and client relations in both domestic and international markets.

As a consultant and advisor, he has made significant contributions to initiatives focused on modernizing and reforming the capital market in Serbia. He collaborated with the World Bank on a project supporting the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia, where he worked on the implementation of a capital market development strategy, emphasizing strategic planning and reform execution. Additionally, he served as a consultant for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), contributing to key projects such as developing roadmaps for market reforms and analyzing the performance of major market participants, including investment funds, banks, and stock exchanges.

Since August 2024, Lazo has been leading the Belgrade Stock Exchange as its CEO. His mission is to restore the Exchange’s historic reputation and reclaim its strategic role as a regional financial hub. Under his leadership, efforts are focused on modernizing the Exchange, improving market liquidity, fostering innovation, and strengthening partnerships with regional and global stakeholders.

Lazo holds a professional master’s degree in business process management from the Belgrade Business School and has completed advanced training in financial risk management and IPO strategies at the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM).

He has participated in several regional and international forums, focusing on topics such as market integration, digital transformation, and the future of capital markets.

Lazo’s vision centers on creating a transparent, efficient, and innovative environment for all market participants, paving the way for sustainable growth and regional integration in the capital markets.
