Alex Marine

Alex Marine is the head of Investigations and Disputes at Aperio Intelligence, specialising in cross-border asset-tracing and recovery, including against nation states, NPL management, third-party litigation funding, complex internal investigations and strategic intelligence-gathering.

Alex’s experience is a blend of legal, investigative and third-party funding work. Alex was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2006, and has worked for leading City of London law firms, including Herbert Smith Freehills, specialising in contentious work.

He joined the risk management profession in 2011, and later became the head of the corporate investigations practice at a global risk management consultancy, The Risk Advisory Group.

Immediately before joining Aperio, Alex spent two years as an asset recovery underwriter at one of the world’s largest publicly listed providers of funding to the legal industry.
