Maja Bešević Vlajo, CFA, graduated in 2007 with a degree in finance from the Zagreb School of Economics and Management. By 2015, she had successfully completed the necessary exams to earn the prestigious CFA title. She is currently in the final year of her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. Maja holds licenses for brokerage, investment advising, and pension fund management.

At the onset of her career, Maja worked as a financial analyst at Abacus Brokeri, an investment firm. After a few years, she transitioned to Podravska Banka, taking on the role of portfolio manager, where she was responsible for managing investments in domestic and international stocks.

In 2014, she became a board member of the investment company N3 Capital Partners. During her tenure at N3 Capital Partners, Maja was involved in asset management and business consulting. In 2017, she was appointed to the supervisory board of SKDD.

Since 2019, Maja has served as the Executive Director for Development and Investment Banking at Podravska Banka. Additionally, she has been a member of the Governing Board of the CFA Association of Croatia since 2018 and became its president in 2021.

From 2019, Maja has also been teaching in the MBA program “Finance and Banking” at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management. In 2021, she attained the status of lecturer.
